The OLM 2007 Election Commission wishes to express appreciation to all candidates, members of our community, the Brooklyn Park City Hal, both Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center Police Departments for the support during the elections.  The volunteers who took off from personal work, monitors, visitors and members of the press, including those who had to travel to witness these elations, did extremely well.  For without the support of all of you, announcing the results as they are would not have been possible.

From Thanksgiving to New Years Day, household waste increases by more than 25 percent. Added food waste, packaging, wrapping paper and decorations – it adds nearly one million tons a week to the nation's garbage piles. It’s time to think about changing the way we celebrate during the holidays and throughout the year so that we can enjoy a cleaner environment.
