Brooklyn Park, MN -- Brooklyn Park business owners and representatives are urged to apply to be a part of the Business Forward Advisory Board (BFAB).
The advisory board is being created on the recommendation of the Business Forward Task Force.
The BFAB will be the voice of the business community in all matters that impact the businesses in
Brooklyn Park and will be a broad representation of the community to include different types, sizes
and locations of businesses.
The board comprised of 12 business representatives will meet once a month, beginning in Fall
2012, to collaborate with city staff on implementing the Business Forward recommendations and to discuss a variety of business related matters.
The initiative has the goal of making Brooklyn Park a better place to do business and is part of the
city’s mission statement to be a thriving city, inspiring pride where opportunities exist for all. It is
also part of the city’s overall civic engagement project, which is to make sure those affected by city
decisions are consulted first.
Applications are due August 15 and can be found at www.brooklynpark.org/businessforward or by
contacting Amy Baldwin, Business Development Manager at 763-493-8058 or
amy.baldwin@brooklynpark.org.
