Child and Family Wellness Shops, sometimes called CFW shops, a project spearheaded by the HealthStore Foundation appoints new leaders For the CFW shops in Rwanda.
Health Store wants to improve access to essential drugs, basic healthcare, and prevention services for children and families in the developing world using business models that maintain standards, are geometrically scalable, and achieve economies of scale.
“The organization have recruited new leaders for Rwanda where we - having completed the planning phases - are now ready to start implementing our expansion plan. Marete (our newly appointed Country Manager) and Ida-Alexandra (our newly appointed Technical Manager) are currently undergoing intensive training at the CFW network in Kenya. And let us not forget Joselyne who joined us in 2008 and who has singlehandedly managed to keep our small network in Rwanda going. Joselyne has worked as a consultant for CFW for well over a year and will now form part of the Management Team as our Training & Compliance Manager.” Health Store CEO, Gunther L. Faber said in a press release sent to the African News Journal.
“Meanwhile in Kenya, Spencer and his team – for the first time in 12 months – have the luxury of starting to implement the ‘Incremental Improvement Plan’ they have developed to wean our franchisees off indirect subsidies. This luxury is thanks to some generous funding we received from some of our donors, for which we are very grateful.” Faber added
Dr. Njoka Marete - After 15 years of primary and secondary education within the countryside schools in Kenya, Marete was admitted to the (then only) medical school in Kenya in 1985 to study pharmacy.
He then worked both private and public institutions. After 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry he decided to join CFW. The last job he was working Dr. Njoka before he joined CFW was the production manager both in Glaxo Wellcome and eventually GlaxoSmithKline.
Ida-Alexandra de Cordier-Humuza completed her studies in the French capital, Paris, nursing by training. She worked in the main hospitals of Paris, mostly in ICU and ER.
In 2006, She started working in the private sector as the district/visiting nurse. She used to work in close partnership with city doctors, surgeons, and local associations, defining the best protocols for patients as well as adapting and evaluating the efficiency of treatments for diabetes, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and for post-transplantation and end-of-life patients.
In 2010, like the dream of many in the diaspora community, She decided to settle in Rwanda.
