Zainab Leaves Minneapolis Foundation

After five years of service, program officer Zainab Hassan is leaving The Minneapolis Foundation. She’s been pursuing new opportunities in the field of philanthropy, working across cultures and communities both locally and internationally.

This change has resulted in part from her participation in the Shannon Leadership Institute, a professional development program that helps experienced nonprofit professionals renew their focus and career paths.

Since joining the Foundation in 2007, Zainab has served as a generalist community philanthropy officer and education program officer.

During that time she has helped dozens of nonprofit organizations advance social, racial and economic equity through their work on civic engagement, public policy, education systems reform, and has contributed great expertise to the Foundation. We will miss her and we wish her well.

Zainab’s last day is September 28th. Please direct any inquiries to Jo-Anne Stately, Director of Grantmaking and Special Projects, at (612) 672-3831 or jstately@mplsfoundation.org
