Was it Jealousy or depression ?

Paul Wanyoike allegedly called 911 to admit the killing of his wife. Paul, 34, from Kenya, who was married to Yetunde, from Uganda, told the police “ I killed her ”. When the police came, they found her dead and placed Wanyoike under arrest. A murder case within the family is unusual case in this tiny African community living in Delaware but the case left uproar and shock in the community all over in New England. People started to speculate the reason behind the horrible act. Some say it because of depression while others pointed out jealousy.

Julie, Delaware.

Nigerian community in US especially those in New York area are very excited upon the arrival one of their financial institution in New York. Mid March, 07, Nigeria’s UBA bank became the first African (sub-sahara) bank that opens a branch in New York.

Definitely, the move of the UBA’s will benefit both the community and the financial institution itself and will set a good example other African bank which have been away from this lucrative market to join in.

Oludare, New York
