Winners’ Chapel International, Minnesota, the twin cities branch of the Living Faith Church popularly known as Winners’ Chapel has concluded plans to commence morning service every Sunday.
Acting Pastor in Charge, Pastor Olumide Joseph Ajayi told African News Journal (ANJ) in an exclusive interview recently that the leadership of the church from its headquarters in Nigeria with the support of the North America Acting Pastor David Adeoye gave him the go-ahead to begin a service here in Minnesota.
He said: “After the liberation service on May 3, 2009 the Holy Spirit ministered to me to start a branch of the church here in Minnesota. He told me also to build a website where I need to explain what he wanted me to do and contact the leadership for permission to go ahead. I followed the instruction by contacting the leadership, including other Winners” Chapel that were already operational in the United States.
The leadership responded by advising me to start with a fellowship which started on June 13, 2009 at my apartment with my family and a brother.”
Ajayi, who said that the commencement of the church services have become his new driving force said that the founder of Living Faith Church worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo laid hands on him on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Tulsa, Oklahoma “for this great assignment.”
“Above all, I am an addicted lover and child of God, whom God has chosen and privileged to serve him at Winners’ Chapel, Minnesota. God is the founder, Bishop Oyedepo is the commissioner and we are all privileged to be co-laborers,” he said.
In Accordance to the liberation mandate given to the founder stating: “And now the hour has come to liberate the whole world from all oppressions of the devil, through the preaching of the word of faith, and I am sending you to undertake this task, Ajayi noted that
God gave him a seven-point agenda for the liberation mandate in Minnesota, including:
• Lasting miracles (the salvation of souls)
• Healing of all manner of sicknesses and diseases, most especially terminal diseases
• Destruction of every forces of barrenness and restoration of fruitfulness
• Restoration of broken homes and marriages
• Restoration of peace to homes experiencing various storms
• Delivery of Godly marriages
• All forms of liberation from assaults of the devil
Ajayi, who is a graduate of World of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) had gone through all the Bible School programs of the church from the basic to leadership training.
The acting pastor however noted that Winners’ Chapel Minnesota does not receive any form of funding from the headquarters.
According to him, “The Lord has been using my family to pay for the expenses we incur here. We were instructed to bless the people first. It is nobody’s money that is making it to work. It is God that is making it to work.”
Ajayi, who expressed his faith in the omnipotent power of God concerning the acquisition of a church’s building for worship said: “It doesn’t take God anything to give us a place. It might be next month, depending on the Holy Spirit. I wouldn’t want us to waste God’s resources and I am anticipating that we are going to buy our own place of worship. We are taking examples from Canaan Land (the headquarters) and I know that God can do the same thing for us by acquiring our own place out rightly.”
The services, which would start from October 4, 2009 would hold at the Marriot Hotel, 9970 Wayzata Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55426. The church, however, currently hold a two-hour service presently every Sunday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the same location.
