Award winning photographer Abdi Roble and writer Doug Rutledge will present their work on the Somali Diaspora. They are publishing a book with the University of Minnesota Press in December and the Weisman Art Museum will have an exhibit of Roble's photographs in September. They are now spending time with refugee camps in Malta and Germany, where their photographs show the terrible conditions that refugees are exposed to due to their ambivalent legal status in parts of the European Union.
